Diagnose App Troubles with Google's Cloud Trace

Is your Web page or application taking too long to load? Trying to figure out why? Google just announced that its Cloud Trace diagnostic service, announced last June (2014) during the I/O conference, has entered the beta stage.

The Cloud Trace tool enables app developers to identify performance issues by finding the "traces" for slow requests and view a report of where time is spent in an application while requests are processing. The trace analysis feature shows the latency distribution for an application, displaying the slow requests that may affect users. The same feature can be used to check if the performance of a new release is better than a previous version as well.

The Google Cloud Trace tool is now available to all Google Cloud Platform customers.
