Google has released an update to its Web Designer product, a tool for authoring interactive HTML5 websites and digital advertisements (the company also indicated that ads built with Web Designer have been viewed over 2.5 billion times since the launch).
The update to Web Designer, according to Google, provides greater control and flexibility for developers and designers when creating interactive and animated HTML5 content. The revamped Events and Components feature, for example, gives designers an opportunity to make any element interactive, and an updated timeline providers more granular control when building animated content. What's more, tighter integrations with other Google products (Drive, DoubleClick Studio, DoubleClick Campaign Manager and AdWords) let users collaborate on digital assets and publish finished units more quickly. Perhaps most noteworthy of all however is that this integration marks the first time that AdWords will support HTML5 ads.
