Tableau, Costco and Symantec are just a few companies using new technology that expedites promotional campaigns, prevents fraudulent purchases, captures and retains consumers and uses analytics to analyze consumer-purchasing trends.
The PGA Tour also counts itself among this group partnering with SheerID, a point-of-sale verification provider that, for these golf events in particular, can verify the status of active duty, military retirees, dependents and veterans who are interested in obtaining a complimentary or discounted tickets offered at select PGA Tour, Champions Tour and Web.com Tour events, as part of the Birdies for the Brave program.
"We are excited to partner with Birdies for the Brave to help them honor our country's service men and women with access to PGA TOUR events nationwide," said Jake Weatherly, CEO and co-founder of SheerID. "SheerID's technology allows them to target offers and give back to these specific audiences through our fast, secure military verification software."
This software can also be used to verify student discounts or that any other customers are eligible for a business's special offers by connecting a company's website, POS, customer service reps and/or mobile app with any database. Additionally, SheerID states that the verification process works instantly, so, in most cases, customers won't even know they're being verified and the solution requires no integration and is customizable.
