SugarCRM has announced the latest version of its popular customer relationship management system.
In addition to new reporting, workflow and performance improvements, perhaps the most interesting aspect of version 7.9 is that it includes a redesigned quote management feature that should help Sugar customers close more deals and turn more of those deals into revenue.
The new quote generation and management application can be configured for individual needs and is extensible enough to integrate into complex enterprise environments according to the company. SugarCRM has added features like drag-and-drop line-item reordering; "click-to-group," which allows users to add and group line items easily; and new capabilities to export quotes so sales represenative can show pricing options to prospects. Sugar users will also now be able to more easily edit and revise pricing options while negotiating with their customers.

"With this release, we are focusing on innovating in the the core CRM features that matter the most to sales and support professionals."
The CRM space is an incredibly competitive one, and the version of Sugar CRM may be just what the company needs to put the offering back on the radar of enterprises.
