Snapchat wants its users to engage with the Stories featured on its app, which is why the company has unveiled a new feature called Story Explorer.
With Story Explorer, users can swipe up on Story moments that inspire them in order to see more Snaps of that same moment, just from different perspectives. For example, if a user sees a game-winning dunk and swipes up, they can view the dunk from numerous perspectives throughout the stadium. According to Snapchat, the technology was developed by its research team to provide more depth to every Snap in a Story.
"Our community makes this possible by sharing Snaps in the moment and contributing so many diverse perspectives - a huge thank you to Snapchatters everywhere for making this dream a reality," Snapchat said in its announcement.
It is important to note, however, that Story Explorer is currently only available on the New York and Los Angeles live Stories, but is expected to roll out across more Stories soon.
