A new report from content discovery and sharing platform Shareaholic indicates that Facebook and Pinterest referred nearly one-fifth of all visitors to websites across the 'Net in January.
Facebook's share was up 5.07 percent in the reporting period, followed by Pinterest(+1.11 percent) and StumbleUpon (+0.30 percent). That's where the good news ends. Twitter's share was relatively flat, dropping just 0.05% in the time period examined. Reddit, however, experienced a rather significant decline (-17.68%) as did YouTube (-34.97%) - although it's far less noticeable in the case of YouTube as a result of the volume of its traffic.
Shareaholic's findings were based on four months of data collected from 200,000 publisher websites that reach more than 250 million unique visitors each month.
