Social marketing platform Offerpop has released a new polling app that can be launched as campaigns on Facebook (and elsewhere including websites, digital ads, in-store - even on television).
A brand's fans can participate in polls by simply liking a individual selection (like-based voting) from the brand's pre-defined options. Offerpop is one of the first to take advantage of the recent change to Page Promotions on Facebook.
"The Poll app is part of Offerpop's mission to leverage Facebook's newest guidelines and features, enabling brands to run results-driven social campaigns," said Prakash Mishra, CTO and co-founder of Offerpop. "The Poll app helps marketers improve the reach of their campaigns by creating viral stories, resulting in bigger social and email audiences."
Ashley Stewart, a retailer of plus-size women's clothing, has bought it. The company recently used the Offerpop poll app to give away giftcards. "Polling our customers via Offerpop's platform helps grow word of mouth, build engagement, and impact downstream metrics," said Erica Young, Ecommerce Marketing Manager at Ashley Stewart. "We're excited about the ability of like-based voting to drive campaign virality."
