Wix has unveiled a new integration between its ShoutOut product and Facebook ads.
Wix ShoutOut enables users to create, send and share professional newsletters and updates. Users can customize ready-made templates with their own text, images and video, as well as have the ability to use content from the Wix platform's free media library. Since its launch in July 2014, Wix ShoutOuts have been shared with millions of users' contacts, and an analysis of traffic revealed that the highest engagement rate came from social media shares.
Through the new integration with Facebook, users will be able to maximize their reach by creating and launching Facebook advertising campaigns. In fact, the integration automatically creates Facebook Page-post ads from the content and images of the user's ShoutOut.
"The WixShoutOut integration with Facebook's advertising platform and its unparalleled reach, provides our users an effective cross-channel marketing tool and a simplified gateway into a massive new audience," said Wix CMO, Omer Shai. "Over a million people have already used Wix ShoutOut to create and share beautiful content. Now they'll have the option to make their valuable content work for them multiple times and promote their business even further."
It is also important to note that the campaign's target audience is automatically set by using Facebook's Lookalike targeting, which helps the user reach an audience that is similar to people who have liked their Facebook Page. Users can also customize the ad, configure the campaign targeting and set their budget from within the Wix ShoutOut dashboard. That said, users must monitor and manage their campaign from the Facebook interface once a campaign is launched.
"Wix and Facebook are both seeking to make marketing simpler and more efficient for global businesses of all sizes," said Steve Irvine, global head of the Facebook Marketing Partner program. "Our partnership will allow Wix ShoutOut users to extend the reach of their email marketing campaigns to Facebook in just a few clicks, getting their content in front of the people who matter most to their businesses."
