Measuring social media and online reputation is something that continues to be a tool that people want - including businesses. With so many people participating, conversing and listening on social media sites, providing a way to measure the coverage is important to understand how your business is perceived as well as talked about online. Though people attempt to measure coverage in different ways, CARMA International uses a team of researches instead of software or programs. CARMA International believes that humans can better decipher content because too many variables exist such as sarcasm which a computer would not be able to read accurately as sarcasm.
CARMA announced today that it updated its methodology to provide better measurements of social media coverage as well introduced three additional features: Social Media Access; Tone; Customization. The social media access allows users to combine social media coverage results with traditional media including blogs, tweets, forums and more. Users can choose to have this coverage display in an interface with the traditional media results or separately. Tone provides users with a rating on the tone of articles which was evaluated by CARMA's team. And customization provides users with additional data and charts.
There's no argument that every business would love to measure their level of social exposure as well as type of exposure. What are your thoughts on using a team of researchers or programs to determine coverage?
