Web professionals using Firefox need not fear a shortage of add-on's - particularly those providing information for SEO.
You have SEOQuake, SEO Doctor, the SEO Toolbar from Trellian, and SenSEO just to name a few. And now there's one more.
Search marketing firm Wpromote announced the launch of its SEOAudit Tool today which displays SEO related information about websites being viewed in the browser. "Often it is helpful to our team to be able to access this type of website information rather quickly. We decided that others would also benefit from our tool, so we decided to make it publicly available and free." explains Aaron Kronis, Wpromote's in-house SEO Evangelist.
The Firefox add-on provides information such as the Page Rank, the number of indexed pages and backlinks on Google, The domain age, access to the robotos.txt file if available, information from Del.icio.us, Alexa and DMOZ and other important data related to search engine optimization. Certainly not the most comprehensive but it seems to work and I might even suggest that I could see it being useful in a pinch.
