Yahoo is rolling out a new suite of services designed for mobile developers to analyze, advertise, monetize and enhance their apps.
In addition to a new "exploration" interface for its Flurry Analytics product (which Yahoo acquired in 2014), mobile developers also have some rather interesting features for acquiring new users, improving engagement, and driving some revenue.
Mobile developers will now be able to monetize their apps with native, video and display ads thanks to capabilities provided by other Yahoo platforms and products including Yahoo Gemini, BrightRoll and Flurry. Yahoo also made it possible for mobile developers to integrate Yahoo Search into their apps.
Yahoo believes its Mobile Developer Suite is an important step in the company's evolution toward being "mobile-first" and many industry watchers agree that the Mobile Developer Suite does demonstrate the company's commitment to growing through an even greater focus on mobile, social, native and video.
