Mobile app development platform Realm is launching a new database for React Native, Facebook's platform building native iOS and Android apps with JavaScript.
The new product is a mobile database that will allow React Native developers to model, store and query data at the speed native mobile experiences demand. Realm's React Native product is the company's first foray into JavaScript compatibility, and Realm is the first third-party vendor to offer dedicated support for Facebook's mobile development platform.
"React Native mirrors some of our most important priorities at Realm: enabling a native UI experience and reactive cross platform functionality that accelerates the development process and empowers developers," said Tim Anglade, VP of product at Realm. "As we see increased demand from our customers for React Native compatibility, we are excited to be the first third-party platform to offer integrated support."
