Three New Players Emphasizing Easy
Memberful, MoonClerk and Space Box are three newer payment platforms emphasizing ease. They link clients interested in bypassing gateway payment systems to the Stripe platform and offer a simple front end for sales. Subscribers to these platforms must also have an account with Stripe, so keep in mind they come with two payment plans. All three platforms focus on simplicity and speed for the nontechnical seller.
Memberful came into the market in 2013 targeting organizations with subscribers and paying members. Its clients include 5by5 Internet broadcasting network and thechangelog, a member supported blog.
The membership software is designed to easily paste purchase links on websites with paying members. Costumers click on the link to complete a purchase. But just because the software is simple does not mean it cannot process more complicated transactions such as recurring billing and transaction e-mails.
Memberful offers developers an API option for more technical clients who want to build a custom integration. Memberful syncs with e-mail software, sending out automated messages to membership lists and it allows clients keep their data.
Memberful Pricing
Memberful offers two pricing plans, Starter and Pro. Starters pay a 5 percent transaction fee, which is automatically deducted from each transaction and two free subscription plans for one product.
The Pro plan charges a 1 percent transaction fee and offers unlimited subscription plans for unlimited products but a credit card is required. Stripe's transaction fees are not included in the price listing.
MoonClerk, an online payment company launched in 2013, was also designed specifically for nontechnical users and targets nonprofits, schools and churches for online giving and capital campaigns.
No coding or websites are required. Setup is supposed to take up to 10 minutes. Funds are automatically transferred into the business's bank account.
Space Box was designed in 2012 as a simple way for the nontechnical set to bypass PayPal. It makes accepting payments using the Stripe platform with no coding needed. Once a customer links to Stripe, Space Box opens a space with a simple one-page form where they fill out a few required fields like name, product and price with a photo. Once the form is complete, the costumer is ready to sell
The forms can accept payments and donations for clients and Space Box automatically sends receipt emails to anyone who who makes a payment. Space Box users can control all members that sign up for a space and can suspend access, remove accounts and issue refunds. It's a platform that offers uses for almost anyone with a Smartphone and a business.
