One of the most effective ways to introduce website users to new features is through guided tours.
Developing these guided virtual introductions can be cumbersome however - at least without the right scripts! With a little help from Intro.js you'll be helping your visitors click through new features of your digital property and do so with greater ease than ever before.
Intro.js requires two files, a 7kb JavaScript and a 3kb CSS file. Add "data-step" and "data-intro" to the code on sections to be highlighted and you're off and running. Users that encounter sites with Intro.js are able to navigate with their mouse or the keyboard and currently works in Firefox, Chrome and even IE8. Additional browser support is on the roadmap.
Intro.js is free and open source (even for commercial use) and is published under the MIT license.
