Electronic Arts launched a beta in early October for Star Wars: Battlefront, an upcoming action game that will be available on November 17.
Based on the beta experience, what can be expected from the full game?
There are three game modes including Walker Assault on the ice planet Hoth, Drop Zone on Sullust, and a Survival Mode on Tatooine. There will likely be others after specific levels are passed.
There are currently only five levels in the beta so it is hard to know what type of arsenal players will have access to but there are some clues. For example, players get a personal shield that protects them as well as Ion grenades. Cards representing additional items are earned through currency aggregated by playing. Players get up to two cards in the beta - one for each hand - that can be equipped with a thermal detonator or a Cyber rifle.
The jump packs are likely to be well received as well, as running in the game is necessary in order to move through the rather expansive battlefront areas.
