While the term many be unfamiliar to much of the general public, keywords are one of the most important pieces of a website.

Not only do keywords alert consumers as to the content on the page but they also tell search engines what's on the page. The keywords that a marketer chooses to leverage can be the difference between a viral website or video and a site that nobody has ever heard of.

To help marketers choose the correct keyword there are many tools available that scour the Internet looking for related keywords that are driving the most traffic to websites.

Below is a list of 15 free keyword suggestion tools for marketers to leverage.

Google AdWords

Google's AdWords platform has many uses with just one of them being its keyword tool. Signing up for an account is free and so is using the keyword tool. Marketers can use AdWords to discover keywords for every niche they can think of as well as set filters and options to receive more relevant results.

Google Trends

Soovle
