apptism: Making Sense of iTunes App Store

There are already thousands of available apps out there for the iPhone, so which ones are right for you? What are the popular free apps? Which apps are being downloaded the most?

Apptism can help. The site tracks every app in the store and offers a way to browse through them, filter them to your interests, even read reviews from across the Internet. You can sort by "Most Activity," "Popular Apps," by name, price and more. You can see the top free and paid apps and create your own list of apps of your interest, keeping them on a "Watch List." You can also compare apps to see which one is the better choice.

With a login, you can leave comments about any app you choose but, unfortunately commenting isn't yet being utilized by consumers. Written reviews from other websites are nice, but leveraging the booming app community for actual user reviews would be a welcome sight. Hopefully, as users increase, so will commenting.
