It's an important day in the global payments space as PayPal has announced the launch of domestic operations in India.
Consumers in India will now be able to use PayPal to shop online at Indian businesses, and merchants offering PayPal will be able to process both local and global payments through PayPal, gaining access in effect to PayPal's more than 218 million strong customer base around the world and in India through a single integration. PayPal features including One Touch, Buyer and Seller Protection and Refunded Return Shipping are immediately available to PayPayl user in India.
