Prime Rules the Holiday Season...Again

More than 3 million new members joined Amazon Prime in the third week of December this year - just in time for last-minute holiday shipping.

Along with welcoming the new members, Jeff Bezos, founder and CEO of Amazon.com, said more than 200 million more items shipped for free with Prime this holiday, and members doubled their viewing hours of Prime Video compared to last year with the Amazon Original Series The Man in the High Castle leading the way as the most watched TV season ever on Prime Video.

Amazon also reports that its members shopped more than 30,000 Lightning Deals on Amazon.com with Prime Early Access. Additionally, Christmas Eve was the biggest day ever for Prime Now deliveries, and Amazon shipped to 185 countries during the 2015 holiday season. And finally, nearly 70 percent of Amazon.com customers shopped using a mobile device during the holiday season.
