Social "pinboard" Pinterest, still one of the darlings of the social media world, is becoming increasingly attractive to ecommerce merchants.
Back in May, Pinterest began showing the current price of pins from certain websites. The Pinterest rich pins were certainly an ecommerce friendly development in itself but recent improvements stand to make it ever more so.
This week the company announced a new service that will alert Pinterest users via email when there has been a price drop on something they've pinned. Pinterest claims tens of millions of pins have price details on them already. The network will group price adjustment notifications into a single email.
