SaaS shopping platform Shopgate, which enables online retailers using various ecommerce platforms including Shopify, Magento and others to develop and optimize native apps (and mobile websites), has partnered with recurring billing and subscription service ReCharge.
Retailers using Shopgate's native iOS and Android shopping apps will be able to integrate ReCharge's subscription portal into the mobile platform, allowing these ecommerce sellers to manage customer subscriptions in one location in order to drive repeat purchases and increase retention as a result.
One of the more interesting features of the Recharge offering is that customers are able to manage their own subscriptions through the customer portal (i.e. through the retailers app) where they can pause or skip a delivery at any time.
"Our goal is to empower both merchants and customers to have more control over their subscriptions, so it's the perfect match to take Shopgate's mobile solution and sync it with our platform," said Oisin O'Connor, Co-Founder, ReCharge.
ReCharge also recently released the ReCharge API so stores can customize their own portals, export data from ReCharge to other tools, and automate much of their marketing and reporting.
