In fact, many brands have been leveraging hashtags to amplify their posts and gain extra visibility around the Web. This is a smart marketing move, as a recent Piqora study reveals that brands on Instagram that use three hashtags increase their likes by 110 percent, while five hashtags boost likes by 180 percent. Although common hashtags like #Christmas and #NewYear are seen quite frequently during the holiday season, many brands have incorporated other fun hashtags into their social marketing strategy, including branded hashtags that have a holiday spin.
